Our Story
From the start, Caribbean Superior was founded in August 2000 on the passion for food and bringing a taste of Jamaica to those native to the country, and those that were not. It was started as a result of the passion of the owner, Patrick Martin, whose lifelong vision and dreams became a reality when he opened up his business. He is a dedicated individual, and quite passionate about his business. Patrick aims to provide variety of delicious food, great atmosphere, and strives to please those that the business serves. As we continue to embark upon more years of serving the community, the passion, drive and
commitment for providing food like no other was true then, as it is today.
Caribbean Superior started as a single store and continues as such. The food and service that are provided make you come back time and time again. Also, the name reflects the authentic Jamaican dishes that are made daily. Some of the dishes that guests can indulge in ranges from ackee and saltfish, Jamaica’s national dish, salt mackerel, tin mackerel, to ground provisions, patties, fry dumplings, escovitch, steamed and stewed fish. Also, one can expect to enjoy a variety of soups like chicken, fish (daily), conch, crawfish, cowfoot and not to mention our delicious porridges like cornmeal, oatmeal and cornmeal, banana
and peanut. Added to our menu are things like drops, greater cakes, puddings, just like what you would enjoy on the island of Jamaica. There are a wide variety of drinks, juices and punches on the menu. They include root drinks, homemade juices like sorrel, not just a once a year drink, but all year, pineapple ginger, and a wide variety of other drinks like pumpkin juice, a one of a kind.
One can expect to feel like he or she is on the island of Jamaica. The customers add to the experience and good vibes. Over the last 21 years the staff members have strive to make customers feel welcome and therefore, they have aided in maintaining the restaurant’s unparalleled service. We are like your family away from home, whether here or abroad. We constantly try to improve our menu and service to our customers. We truly allow our customers to enjoy a one of a kind experience that mirrors that of the good island vibes, good socialization and culture of the country.
